A single mom to two special needs boys – one with Down syndrome and the other with neurological issues – Romney’s adventure in motherhood began with her first son’s 2004 adoption and only got more exciting with the second adoption in 2007. An open advocate for adoption (of the human, canine and equine varieties) she also plays mom to a rescued Pit Bull and a Malti-poo mix. In addition to doing the “mom thing,” Romney serves on the Board of Directors for HiCaliber Horse Rescue, Inc. and enjoys coaching her sons’ special-needs Little League team.
While she’ll admit that nothing compares to the adventure of being a parent, her professional endeavors have come close. A certified interpreter for the deaf (and former nightclub bouncer), she is a published writer and former magazine editor. Romney also has an extensive background in program management, communications and public relations and has achieved extensive local and national publicity for her clients. In 2011 she accepted a once-in-a-lifetime invitation and spoke on a panel at the United Nations during the 2011 Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities.
After helping a few friends establish their companies’ brands, Romney realized she had a passion for working with entrepreneurs and Dilliant was born. Romney enjoys the collaborative relationships that develops with each client and personally manages every project. She has also developed strong industry relationships that she is able to call upon when extra hands are needed on deck! No job is too big or too small!
